About Meghan

Meghan Breen is an old soul, she is a singer/songwriter with a bittersweet and powerful voice. Her peers have described her as “The only person I know that could bring Amy Winehouse and Whitney Houston justice live on stage”. With her charismatic, sassy and humorous personality, she writes songs about her experiences growing up as a woman. Meghan’s raw and vulnerable writing style is heart wrenching and inspiring as she sings about her struggles in an uncomfortably honest way. She believes it's a songwriter's job to say the things no one else wants to say, so people know they are not alone in their experiences or feelings. Her songs and style of her voice is naturally jazzy although her genre has hints of rock, country and pop as well. 

 

After she started voice lessons with Zack Werner in 2017, she entered season two of the singing competition "Sing NL" in 2018. She finished as a finalist. She has been hired to perform at several events, most of which were in partnership with Dominick Flynn with their band “Saving Throw”. Some of these places include The Mount Pearl Frosty Festival, Erin's Pub, The Deck, Fly Festival, The Newfoundland Embassy and The Ship Pub. 

 

Meghan’s strong feminine “man eater” vibes are loveable and encouraging to all especially young women. She strives to be a successful musician and is constantly writing and improving her skills to achieve her goals.
